The Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all activities of the Human Resources, Employee Health and Education departments in alignment with the mission and vision of the organization. This position serves as a member of the local leadership team and helps to carry out the organization’s strategic plan, philosophy, and vision.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
Ensures facility complies with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Selects, orientates, and assigns Human Resources, Employee Health and Education department staff. Develops standards of performance, evaluates performance, and initiates recommendations for personnel actions.
Assists department leaders with a variety of Human Resource related issues ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Develops and conducts new employee orientation.
Provide guidance to all staff in the areas of employee relations, policy interpretation, education and the HR/Payroll support center.
Trains department leaders in Human Resources related functions.
Communicates and updates CHI, Division and Local policies and procedures to facility leaders and staff with a positive and supportive tone.
Prepares and submits Human Resources, Employee Health and Education department’s budget and ensures that the departments operate within that budget.
Participates in required meetings and attends/serves on professional/civic service organizations as a hospital representative.
Ensures employee relations issues are handled in a way that is consistent with the mission and values of the organization and in compliance with all regulatory standards.
Serves as the local Change Agent.
