Job Summary The Senior Manager, Collaboration Accounting is a key member of the Accounting organization. This role's primary focus is to perform the accounting and reporting requirements for a portfolio of collaboration agreements essential to the company's financial performance. This role is highly visible as the key point of contact between Eisai's controllership organization and the respective finance functions at our strategic partners. Essential Functions Ensure accounting for strategic alliances and collaborations is recorded consistent with applicable accounting standards, including Eisai accounting policies, US GAAP and/or IFRS. Support timely and accurate reporting of sales and expenses related to collaboration agreements. Partner with finance counterparts at the respective organizations to prepare payments in accordance with contractual obligations and company policy. Ensure any royalty and milestone obligations associated with collaboration agreements are met and properly recorded. Advise on future obligations, milestones, and other financial impacts in support of annual Business Plan, Latest Estimate or other forecast deliverables. Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as FP&A, Tax, legal, audit etc. to give insight to facilitate strategic decision making associated with the portfolio of agreements. Consult with Business Development on any new or proposed future agreements. Partner with finance/accounting colleagues & manager to understand and analyze related topics such as gross-to-net estimates, supply chain implications, etc. Manage associated account reconciliations and explaining significant fluctuations. Provide support and coordinate with our external auditors; internal JSOX audits and act as the key point of contact for ad-hoc alliance partner audits associated with the respective agreements. Requirements B.S. or above degree in Accounting 8 years of progressive accounting experience CPA, MBA or similar designations encouraged Collaboration, licensing and/or revenue accounting experience preferred Detail-oriented with ability to multitask without sacrificing accuracy High degree of interpersonal and communication skills Excellent time management, analytical and organizational skills Strong initiative and a process improvement mindset Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others Strong knowledge of accounting, finance, US GAAP, IFRS and consolidations Eisai requires all new hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide valid proof of vaccination as of their start date, to the extent permitted under applicable law.
