UCLA Extension, a global leader in professional and continuing higher education is looking for an experienced professional to provide logistical oversight and support for the department of Custom Programs and Corporate Education. Reporting to the Director the Business Development Manager for Custom Programs is responsible for managing existing clients, identifying and developing new prospects, and generating new contracts and revenue from regional businesses and other organizations who seek custom professional development/training programs.   Successful candidate must be motivated to achieve sales successes; committed to \closing,\ self-starter, confident of the sales process with a disciplined approach to each day.   Minimum 2-3 years full-time sales, business development, and/or client relations experience. Knowledge of major industries within the Los Angeles region (or equivalent metropolitan region).  Experience in sales or client development within an education or nonprofit environment. Experience in business-to-business sales experience.  Ability to establish, manage and evaluate collaborative projects and to develop support among diverse internal, University and private-sector constituencies.   Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in relevant field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.   Serving a vital community outreach and engagement role for the UCLA campus, UCLA Extension is the largest organization of its type in California.
