nSTS Technical Services is hiring A&P Mechanicsu00a0in Minneapolis, Minnesota.nJob Description:nThe primary responsibilities of the Aircraft Mechanic are to ensure the ongoing airworthiness of our client's fleet of aircraft.nJob Duties:nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.nn tTroubleshoot and repair aircraft to our client's standards.n tCorrectly complete paperwork for maintenance performed on aircraft.n tEnter all log items, NRTCs, and task cards into TRAX.n tIdentify and report problems that could impact daily maintenance operations.n tCommunicate with Maintenance Station Supervisor during all maintenance procedures.n tMaintain an up-to-date OJT file.n tAssist with training of newly hired individuals, as necessary.n tAccomplish housekeeping of maintenance facilities, as required.n tMove and park aircraft as operations warrant.n tMove and position ground equipment as needed for the maintenance operation.n tConduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by our client.nnQualifications:nn tHigh school diploma or equivalentn tA&P license requiredn tMust be highly motivated and a self-startern tExcellent communication, organizational, problem solving skillsn tWork effectively with minimal supervision under stressful situationsn tExcellent communication, organizational, problem solving skillsnnPreferred Skills:nn t2 years line maintenance preferredn t2 years 737NG jet experience preferredn t737NG Familiarization Class preferredn t2 yearsu2019 experience in aircraft structural repair preferredn tValid US Passport preferrednnWork Environment:nn tThis job operates in the maintenance hangar and ramp area. This role is routinely exposed to all weather elements.nnPhysical Demands:nWork is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds.
