POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all phases of nursing care provided for the Behavioral Health Program. Determines staffing requirements and material resources necessary to provide care to the patients on the program. Provides supervision of, assesses and evaluates the competence and performance of the nursing personnel. Participates in the recruitment and community education process. ','!*!
Education:
Master’s degree in Nursing, Psychiatry or Mental Health Preferred
Experience:
Prefer two years experience as a registered nurse in the specialty area of behavioral health, one of which was in a supervisory capacity.
Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities:
Demonstrated success and abilities in leadership, achieving results, communications, customer service and health care management. Possess a thorough knowledge of current behavioral health concepts, principles and methods of treatment. Possess ability to supervise other nursing staff in a healthcare setting. Must be able to travel at least 6-8 hours per month to participate in community education and referral development.
Licensure/Certification:
RN license in the State of Florida.
