An administrative service manager is the one who coordinates and directs the various support services that help an organization to carry out its operations smoothly. Almost all the sectors such as telecommunication, manufacturing units, energy consumption, security, procurement and various others require the services of an administrative service manager.

It is the responsibility of an administrative service manager to manage and supervise the staff to see that all the operations are carried out perfectly and on time. Some companies require services of only those administrative service managers who have an advanced degree in management. An associate degree in engineering, construction, architecture and facility management are also required most of the time.

An administrative service manager needs to have good organizational skills along with having a motivating attitude. He needs to communicate convincingly as his words are directions for those who are working with or under him. In private organizations, the salary of an administrative service manager might be less than $65,000, but in the government or government-aided sector this can go above the mark of $70,000.
