Many times, the customer will end up feeling like a fool and apologize, but by letting them vent, they will feel you are showing concern, by letting them know that you understand the issue and will try your best to resolve it. Many times, that is all they want to hear. They just want somebody to understand or show empathy towards them. This is hard for many people to do, and these individuals normally do not last very long in customer service. Either they can't take it anymore, or they get in a heated argument with a customer and are let go.
