Pride Hospitality promotes Leonhard to new general manager
Pride Hospitality, LLC, has appointed Cara Leonhard as general manager of the recently remodeled AmericInn Hotel & Suites in Sheboygan, WI. Prior to the new appointment, Cara served as housekeeping manager and assistant general manager at Holiday Inn Express. Speaking of the new appointment, Mark Zipperer, CEO of Pride Hospitality, said, "With our hotel portfolio here in Sheboygan, we are able to promote within and grow our bench strength internally." Pride Hospitality runs 10 hotels including Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn, Harbor Winds, and Candlewood Suites brands AmericInn and Harbor Winds Hotel in Sheboygan.
Rittenbach rejoins Arizona and Apache as general manager
Shirley Rittenbach is back at Arizona Silver Belt and Apache Moccasin as the general manager of the Globe operation. On rejoining the successful newspaper offices, Rittenbach expressed her eagerness in working towards strengthening the foundation, which according to her, has been the force behind Arizona Silver Belt's progress for more than 100 years and Moccasin's for the past 25 years. Rittenbach is looking forward to reconnecting with advertisers, members of the Globe-Miami and San Carlos communities, and the staff members. Both newspapers stand to gain from Rittenbach's experience of more than 12 years.
Rotary Club's award goes to Fort McAllister State Park general manager
The Rotary Club of Richmond Hill presented Danny Brown, Fort McAllister State Park general manager, with the club's Professional Excellence Award. The award, presented at the club's annual Officer Installation Banquet at Love's Seafood Restaurant, is specifically meant for those working in the public sector, informs savannahnow.com. According to the new Rotary Club president, Robbie King, McAllister was acknowledged for his outstanding service to Bryan County. An 1863 Union light Calvary officer's saber was also presented to him, in addition to a plaque commemorating the award. On receiving the award, Brown, a Civil War historian, commented that it was a humbling experience, as people who voted for him were once his peers. The park, located on the banks of Great Ogeechee River south of Savannah, is a quiet location for camping, hiking, fishing and picnicking, and is known for its best-preserved earthwork fortification of the confederacy.
New appointees at U.S. Steel's plant sites
United States Steel Corporation has carried out key management changes at three of its plant sites. Garry E. Human has been appointed plant manager of Mon Valley Works' Edgar Thomson Plant, Ladislav Halaj has been named plant manager-finishing at Gary Works, and David L. Armstrong has been promoted as president of ProCoil Company, LLC. In his new role as plant manager at Edgar Thomson Plant, Human will be overseeing day-to-day operations of Mon Valley Works' primary operation in Braddock, PA. In his new capacity as plant manger at Gary Works, U.S. Steel's largest integrated steelmaking facility, Halaj will be overseeing hot rolling, cold rolling, and coating operations and associated processes. ProCoil Company, LLC, which Armstrong heads as president, is located in Canton, MI, and is a wholly owned steel-processing subsidiary of U.S. Steel. The subsidiary unit specializes in silts, cuts to length, and blanks steel coils to automakers' specifications.
Celanese Corporation names Beach Lin as executive vice president of Ticona
Sandra Beach Lin will replace Lyndon Cole as the executive vice president of Ticona, an engineered materials business of Celanese Corporation. Beach Lin's rich experience in variety of specialty materials businesses will help Celanese to maintain its progress in terms of performance, growth, and innovation, said David Weidman Celanese, chairman and CEO. Prior to joining Celanese, she worked for companies like Specialty Materials and Converting, Closure Systems International, a division of Alcoa, and Honeywell International, Specialty Wax and Additives. A leading name in chemical industry, Celanese Corporation manufactures products necessary to everyday living. The products are manufactured in North America, Europe, and Asia.
